For more information about Meridian Dance, contact us at dance@meridiangallery.org
Meridian Dance presents 3-4 performance opportunities per year, paired with the gallery’s exhibition, music and lecture calendar.
Curation is focused on fostering conversation between performing and visual artists, specific to each exhibition. We aim to present dance and performance work that creates a space where collaboration and integration can take place. We are investigating how the confluence of different art work can effect, enrich, and engage both artists and audiences.
Choreographers in residence at Meridian Gallery are offered rehearsal and performance space, and are encouraged to develop their work in the gallery for anywhere between 1 to 3 months.
Our focus on incubation and the presentation of world premieres reflects our vision of facilitating open and diverse art experiences, and supporting artists, choreographers and performers in the Bay Area and beyond.
If you are interested in becoming a Choreographer in residence with Meridian Dance, please email us a brief artist statement and links to websites, video or images.
